Dear Lord of Life,

In this advent season, we are faithfully preparing for Jesus to come into the world, to live among us, which is the miracle of the incarnation. We are also preparing for a new year at Lord of Life. Typically we carry some deficit in December and it is not made up by one or two people in the congregation, it comes from the generosity of many people giving faithfully. This year, we have the opportunity to be even more generous than ever. We have the chance to respond to a challenge before us. In order to finish this year without having to pull from reserves, we would need to raise $68,000.

I am sharing this with the congregation not to alarm or place guilt, but to communicate clearly and in the spirit of transparency. I want all the members to know where we stand as a church so that as we are able, we can work together in order to finish this year strong. We need to respond in faith and by giving out of the generosity and blessings God has bestowed on us and together, we can be a part of the miracles God is doing this season.

If you are able and desire to be a part of what God is doing at Lord of Life, I ask you to faithfully consider what you can give to help us finish this year in a good position to do ministry in the church and in the community in 2023. It is my deepest prayer that we have opportunities to grow in faith, fellowship, and further the Kingdom of God next year  and the many years to come.

I am grateful for always this community works together to do wondrous things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord of Life.
