During May our congregation made great progress with this project.  Members found new homes for many items no longer needed at Lord of Life. 

  • Jessica, a public school teacher from Glendale Heights, was invited to see what was available.  She took many things her students would be able to use. Jessica was grateful to not have to spend her own money to purchase those items.
  • Pastor Carole Willer, from Our Savior in Burbank, was also invited to see if there was anything her church could use.  We gave them two boxes full of new, unused booklets along with some craft items for Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.  Pastor Carole also took 30 green hymnals we used in the past.
  • Our own church members took a wide variety of items.  
  • We also gave Seventh Day Adventist and Loving Word members the opportunity to take whatever they wanted.
  • We donated what remained to Goodwill and SCARCE.

Thank you for helping to find others who were able to use these items, and thanks for participating by taking anything you could use!

Currently, we are in the process of painting the closets.
