Feed My Starving Children

Thanks to all the people who volunteered on September 15th for the Save My Starving Children Event. There were nine of us that assembled at the building in Aurora at 11:30 where we were given the task ahead, they showed us a brief film as to where the people throughout the world are given these nutritional bags consisting of rice, soy, dried vegetables and blends of vitamins and minerals and then were assigned to a station each given a task in order to fill the bags as a team. Our team bags were sent to Matter in Mozambique on September 21, 2022.

There were other people packaging as well representing other countries and they made it a game as to what station could complete as many bags in order to fill a shipment box in the allotted time which for our group was 11:30 to 1:15.

Had a great time knowing it was going for such a worthy cause that we are planning on doing it again on Saturday, January 14th, in the afternoon. Hope you can join us!
